Marcus Goodwin

He first joined Wētā FX in 2008 as a Layout Coordinator on Avatar. After working at other facilities in Australia and the UK, Marcus returned as Models Manager on The Hobbit trilogy and Iron Man 3.

In 2022, Calgary-born and Vancouver-based, Marcus took on the challenge of establishing Wētā FX's new Vancouver hub, where he continues to oversee the expanding team.

In addition to managing the hub, he serves as the in-house VFX Producer, delivering standout work on major projects like Masters of the Air, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, and most recently, House of the Dragon Season 2.

Over the years, Marcus has had the privilege of collaborating with some of the most respected filmmakers in the industry, including Chloé Zhao, Tim Burton, Alfonso Cuarón, and Peter Jackson. He’s excited to continue driving innovation and excellence as the Vancouver hub grows and thrives
