The Wilds—once described as a cross between Mean Girls and Lost—is a young-adult drama series about a group of teenage girls stranded on a deserted island who are unknowingly the subjects of a social experiment.
We added the open water environment to shots filmed in a water tank, produced a CG shark and a 2.5D submerged plane wreckage, and transformed a Waikato field into a mountain surrounded by water.
