Niall Lenihan

Niall graduated from Victoria University of Wellington in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) major in Computer Science. He joined Wētā FX on a four-month internship in 2012, and returned as a Junior Production Engineer after completing his degree. Since then, Niall has been involved in a wide range of projects and has had the opportunity to work at very low or very high levels, on simple scripts right up to web services handling massive traffic volumes. He gets great satisfaction from developing and working with cutting edge technologies.

ADVICE FROM NIALL: Keep learning, and be eager. Learn as much as you can about different parts of a computer system. Learn different languages in programming and outside it. Push your boundaries. Being willing and able to learn new things quickly is a big part of my job, and being able to demonstrate that you have done that in the past is a great way to get into the industry!
